It was just one of those Sunday afternoons. You know the kind, the weather was just right. It has been unbearably HOT lately but today….not so much. The temps were only in the mid 80s but the best part was the humidity was almost nonexistent. A really beautiful day. So after church we decided to take a drive in the country armed with our camera….just in case.
We drove about 10 miles south on highway 219 and just picked a nice looking country road to turn down. From there we just drove slowly enjoying the sunshine and beautiful country scenery.
We would see another road and turn down it and so on until we really had NO idea where we were. Awww, lost in the Georgia countryside on a beautiful day!!
I hope you enjoyed your Sunday as much as we did!!

A truly wonderful Sunday drive. Thanks for taking us along.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us along on the country drive. Great scenery!
ReplyDeleteWe call it "country cruisin'". I think it's a Southern tradition. Just read your post from Thursday. Fantastic news, and I know the answer to lots of prayers.
ReplyDeleteCountry roads..take me home!..what a great day for a Sunday drive..good thing you took the camera along!!!!
ReplyDeleteI sure enjoyed that drive in the country. Super pictures.
ReplyDeleteYou live in a beautiful part of the country!
ReplyDeleteI love when that happens. A leisurely drive in an unfamiliar but scenic countryside just meandering along until your not quite sure where you are. Always fun trying to figure out your location & then eventually finding a familiar landmark. I love doing that.
ReplyDeletelooks nice - we will be in Georgia tomorrow but we will be coastal, we may get lost while we are there too
ReplyDeleteLoved your photos and the peacefulness they portrayed!
ReplyDeleteEllie and I find ourselves taking quiet rides more and more too. When we were younger, we often would just drive around looking at things without any particular destination and enjoying each others company. Then children and responsibility came along and there didn’t seem to be time to slow down and smell those Roses.
Georgia is a beautiful part of the world; we enjoy it very much when we are there.

Goes to show, even when settled into a stix and brix, some people still have that hit the road itch. You surely had it on Sunday. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a ride in the country on a Sunday afternoon, especially in perfect weather. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteWe used to take more Sunday rides, but the diesel fuel has put a halt to that...for now,anyway...Plus, it has been very hot..so we are just lying around like slugs..no A/C in our house....That's gotta change soon!
