Sometimes we look at sights in nature but don't really see. While hiking in the woods the other day, it became a realization that we need to open our heart and eyes to see the beauty of the simple things in nature with each season. There is so much order and purpose in His creation. God has given us awesome beauty in this world to see and enjoy... if we would but stop to see and feel it. We Love Fall Most of All

Sunday found us enjoying the nice cozy spot inside the Oliver showroom!!  We slept great and woke up a little early due to the time change!!  Why do we do that?  Just when my body is used to the current time we change things up and have to readjust!!

We got up and got going rather slowly this morning but managed to make it to lunch before the crowds.  We ate at Lewis and Clark a relatively new restaurant in town.  No pictures, sorry!  The food was great, prepared perfectly and it was quiet and nice!

Tomorrow it looks like rain so we decided to make the most of the day and drive through some of the areas we saw earlier on the Natchez Trace except this time we were on the lookout for beautiful fall colors!!  Join us as we enjoy this beautiful fall!!

The trees are about to show us how lovely it is to let things go.     Unknown

We Love Fall most of all.

Sometimes I just look up smile and say: "I know that was you, God, thank you!"

We missed the peak color but oh what beauty was still hanging around for us to enjoy!!  We had a great day....I hope you did as well.

The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.       Isaiah 40:8

  5. I can't imagine that the "peak" color could have been better than what you've shown here. Wasn't it nice of the Lord to send you there in time to enjoy this beautiful autumn day on the Trace?

    1. Horst, thanks for your comments. There is beauty in all areas of His creation, and I know by your past photos that Texas has a great deal of beauty waiting for you to capture, and you are such a good photographer.

  9. This makes me miss fall! I've always loved it - but when we moved to Florida I learned to live without it. We try to avoid the crowds, so haven't been anywhere to see the beauty. But you sure captured it and I can feel the crispness in the air! Beautiful pictures.

    1. Thanks for your comments Debbie. Fall is such a beautiful time of the year, and yes there is a crispness in the air. You kind of come alive in the fall after the hot summer.
