Serenity Now! Gerri and I love this time of the year. For those who live up north, fall is not in full swing here yet, but what beauty this time of year brings. Today the high was in the low 70’s and the sky was a crisp clear blue. We decided to venture out to Callaway Gardens again.
Each change of season is different there and it is so tranquil to ride and walk and be surrounded by nature (about 11,000 acres). Since this is Monday, there were not many people in the gardens and we had it to ourselves…almost.
Rather than write a lot, I would love to just share some pics of the tranquility we felt today.
To be with your best friend, who is also my wife, and be surrounded by nothing but nature; what could be better!
Just look around at the beauty before us on such a lovely day. Sometimes you just don’t want to leave because it is so pretty and peaceful.
We are so blessed to be able to spend all the time we want in such a natural setting and enjoy the beauty God has set in motion.
What a great way to spend a tranquil day! I love the fall colors. It's always great to read your blog.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had one of those magical Autumn days. It is a feeling like no other time of the year to walk in nature's beauty during the Fall. Our Autumn is gone now & we are into the cold, wet & bleak stage.

ReplyDeleteSeeing your photos reminded me of the lovely bike rides we've taken through Callaway Gardens over the years. And we spent our honeymoon there 28 years ago so it holds special memories. Thanks for the nice post,

Beautiful! Thanks, we enjoyed the journey. Counting down until we meet up again.
ReplyDeleteJust this morning the coordinator (and only employee) here at Dooly Campground (a church camp) was talking about Callaway gardens. How far are you from Vienna, GA anyway? I guess I will have to Mapquest it now.
ReplyDeleteSo that is what we are missing by being out West. We will have to put Calloway Gardens on out list of places to see.
ReplyDeleteJust this morning the director, and only employee, here where we are volunteering at Dooly Campground (a church camp) was talking about Callaway Gardens. Wondering how close you are to Vienna Ga. Maybe we could meet up. We are here until the 19th. Then we head toward Birmingham AL area.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Looks like a great place to spend time enjoying nature!
ReplyDeleteYou are surrounded by beauty and by nature. Wonderful. I can feel your love of your surroundings. Today it is raining in Big Sur, California. We had a couple days during the week that felt like summer again but now fall has returned. Is it the same there?
