Today was so incredibly great…sunny, crisp blue skies and temps around 70.
It felt like spring! I was so energized by the weather that I started working on increasing a natural area where we put our bird feed systems. I enlarged it and set up an area to add bird and butterfly friendly plants when the weather truly settles into spring.
Later on Gerri & I just sat on the patio and enjoyed watching the birds come in for feeding, it was so peaceful and the sunshine felt so good.
Our backyard is very private and lots of hardwoods and pines. We are anxious to see what comes up as spring comes. We have lots of azaleas and camellias in the yard, so that should be pretty when they bloom. In fact we had some camellias bloom already, but I think the cold snap (temps in the teens at night) messed with the blooms.
Life is truly good and God is truly great!
Take care and we hope all of you had a great Saturday!
Beautiful pictures of the birds and trees and flowers. How long will you guys be there?

I understand your being energized by the Spring like weather. It's always an invigorating time of year when everything springs to life anew. Nice header pic with all that pure gold in the sky.
ReplyDeleteLove the cardinals. We don't have them in California!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Glad you had a nice warm day to take them.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! Your yard looks beautiful and I can tell you're already enjoying it. So glad you found the right place for you!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures as usual. Where did you pickup your bird feeder system? I assume the cylinder below the feeders is a squirrel stopper.
ReplyDeleteWe carry a bird seed feeder and also a Hummingbird feeder. Not allowed to put out seed feeder here. Something about invasive plants. Don't know about the Hummingbird feeder yet. Guess I'll look around the park and see if there are any.
ReplyDeleteYou sure got some great shots, as usual.
Love your header picture and the pictures of the birds are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI am a bird lover and your pictures are fantastic!! I wish the springlike weather would stick around, don't you?
