Sometimes we look at sights in nature but don't really see. While hiking in the woods the other day, it became a realization that we need to open our heart and eyes to see the beauty of the simple things in nature with each season. There is so much order and purpose in His creation. God has given us awesome beauty in this world to see and enjoy... if we would but stop to see and feel it. WHAT A DIFFERENCE A SEASON MAKES

Seasonal changes are so very visible in many ways, but there is one I never thought about.  Toward the end of fall, usually a dry season, in the first part of November Gerri and I were staying at Chewacla State Park and visiting our son.  We walked to the dam to see the waterfall from the lake…wrong.  It had been so dry for so long, there was no water coming over the dam.

January pic of water going over the dam

We came back to Chewacla for the holidays and walked down to the dam again…and boy what a difference the rainy season makes.
