Sometimes we look at sights in nature but don't really see. While hiking in the woods the other day, it became a realization that we need to open our heart and eyes to see the beauty of the simple things in nature with each season. There is so much order and purpose in His creation. God has given us awesome beauty in this world to see and enjoy... if we would but stop to see and feel it. A Beautiful Spring Day

We woke up to another beautiful sunny day, and decided to go to Callaway Gardens for the afternoon. I wanted to do some picture taking and “hone” in on some better skills with my zoom lens. So after lunch, Gerri & I packed up the car with some chairs and my camera equipment. As luck would have it, it was very crowded today at the Gardens, it is the end of spring break and also a gorgeous day. We stopped below the Gardens Restaurant, right after the number 10. I was able to take several shots, but was not really happy with many of the results. It seems I still have a good bit to learn about this 100-500 zoom lens. Maybe I should have just played golf or canoed in the lake instead.

After we left the Gardens, we headed up to LaGrange to eat supper with Stephen. We enjoyed eating together and our visit while and after we ate. Stephen is really doing great with his job and we were glad to share this time with him.

It was a great day and we enjoyed being outside in the beautiful spring time weather. Life is good.
