The last few days have been mostly uneventful. We began the week by going to the grocery store for our big food purchase for the month. Now I only have to pick up items as needed for a particular meal. I like to have things planned out in order to keep myself from doing those spontaneous purchases. I spend way too much money that way. Since returning from our winter hibernation at Rainbow Plantation, I have made a commitment to cook more and eat out less. We also have committed to getting back into our daily walking. All these things kinda fell by the wayside and it shows.
The pollen has been really bad for the last few days.
I sat outside this morning and watched clouds of yellow float across the tops of the pine trees in the old section of the campground. Pretty good reason not to be over there right now! The Jeep is yellow and the top of the motorhome is also yellow. The bad thing is you can actually smell it and it almost makes you sick. With the pollen as it is, we have kept ourselves inside for the last day or so. There is hope though….Thursday it is suppose to rain. That should wash a lot of this stuff out. Hope so.
Mike and I have big plans to spend some birding time at Callaway Gardens. We went over to the Discovery Center Monday to get information on the best areas for birding inside the Gardens. Armed with this information and our cameras and a nice picnic lunch, we want to return and spend the day. I think we should wait until after Thursday.
So even when just living “normal” it is a great lifestyle.
I think that old pollen is bad almost everywhere right now... Gorgeous sunset photo... Loved it!
