Sometimes we look at sights in nature but don't really see. While hiking in the woods the other day, it became a realization that we need to open our heart and eyes to see the beauty of the simple things in nature with each season. There is so much order and purpose in His creation. God has given us awesome beauty in this world to see and enjoy... if we would but stop to see and feel it. Join us as this blog is about stopping to see the real beauty around us...to touch and feel it... "Through the Lens".

Honeycomb Campground

Lake Guntersville from our campsite patio
We had a wonderful travel day!!  The weather was just right and the sun wasn't beating in the windows making us hot!!  It was longer than we like but when we finally arrived at our campground it was so worth it!!!
Our site right by the lake

All sorts of activities along the lake

A fellow Casita owner, Denny Johnson, raved about Honeycomb Campground saying it was one of the nicest they have camped in in the southeast!!  I think we have to agree, it's one of our favorites now!!  We have water and electric but no sewage.  Having full hookups would put icing on the cake but we can handle that!  Our Ollie backs up to  Lake Guntersville and our patio is, obviously, right on the water as well.

Another campsite along the lake

The campground store
We took a walk around the campground this morning and took a few pictures!!  There just aren't any really bad sites.  The campground host are constantly working and keeping the sites clean and it shows!!  All in all we are very pleased!  We will be here until Sunday.
Sunday we will head to Hohenwald, Tennessee to have our warranty work completed as well as annual service work.  Until then we will sit on our patio and relax!!!

  5. Being a recent resident of Alabama, isn't Lake Guntersville in Alabama? I am thinking I saw that name somewhere.

    1. Thanks Phyllis, we took the backroads to Honeycomb on our way to have warranty work on our Oliver. We fell in love with Honeycomb, so we will be back. When we do, we will touch base with you and see if we can meet up.
