YAY!! Tomorrow, February 1st, we are heading to one of our most favorite places....gulf shores!!!
We will stay at the Rainbow Plantation which is an Escapees Park located in Summerdale, Alabama!! I know it might not be quite warm enough but what the temperature doesn't give in numbers the people at Rainbow and this awesome place will!! I think we'll definitely feel the warmth!!
The fire ring at our site in Chewacla |
Our Oliver through the woods on our site before we packed up |
Our last night here we took a picture of the moon through the trees |
This was our large site at Chewacla |
I noticed this hawk had perched on a tree about 100 feet from our site |
Until then I will be grateful for every single trip we take, every person we meet and every memory we make!!
It is with humble appreciation that tomorrow we will take our friend, Marsha Weaver's advice and "lift those jacks and get out there and experience all of God's wonders!!" Thank you, Marsha, great advice!!
This was taken a few years ago at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge where we volunteered |
Scratching that hitch itch sure iOS a wonderful way to enjoy this good life. WE love the Gulf Shores too , its been a few years though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments. It is nice to have the freedom to just hitch up and go to different places and see different folks. We have always liked the Gulf Shores area and there is so much to do.
DeleteGreat news!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jan, it was great news and now we are near Gulf Shores and already set camp.
DeleteSo glad for the good news. Enjoy Gulf Shores.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments, it was great news and we are already at the Escapees Park near Gulf Shores. Lots to do in this area and we greatly enjoy Fairhope, Al.
DeleteTake care and hope you guys have a great weekend.
The good report from the medical exams is truly a blessing. I can imagine how satisfying it was to "lift those jacks" and hit the road again. Hope you have a beautiful stay at Gulf Shores. Spring will be here before we know it!
ReplyDeleteLinda, thanks for your comments. It is nice to have the freedom to just go somewhere and enjoy different scenery and people. We are at an Escapees Park (full time and part time rv club) and they have dinners twice a week in the clubhouse as well as about 35 different activities during the week for things to do. It is nice and we ate at the clubhouse tonight with friends we met 8 years ago and are catching up on things.
DeleteTake care and we hope you have a fantastic weekend.
I am a more recent 'friend/follower' so I didn't know that you had dealt with cancer. It seems to hit everyone in some way.I've had it, my Hubby went to Heaven earlier because of it.Good to hear that for now all is well. Each day is a blessing.

So happy to read that all your test results were what you were hoping and praying for. We have a dear friend that goes through the same experience four timss a year. The few days before the scan and tests really work on her. Hope you can now go and enjoy your freedom.
ReplyDeleteThe feelings before the scans are very intense, but a blessing all reports are good.
DeleteThanks for your comments.
We finally have a little WIFI at the campground store.
ReplyDeleteI love your header photo!

We love Gulf Shores too! We hope to get back there next fall.
You are so sweet to thank me. I bet everyone was thinking the same thing. We pray you both continue to enjoy the journey for many, many, many more years.
