Sometimes we look at sights in nature but don't really see. While hiking in the woods the other day, it became a realization that we need to open our heart and eyes to see the beauty of the simple things in nature with each season. There is so much order and purpose in His creation. God has given us awesome beauty in this world to see and enjoy... if we would but stop to see and feel it. A Grand Day

It has been a very nice weekend. The weather continues to be just about perfect with plenty of sunshine and light breezes. We have been spending much of our mornings sitting outside on the patio just enjoying this time of the year.

We are still doing our research on the bicycle purchase. What we are finding out is many full-timers started out with bicycles and then later sold them or simply don’t use them any longer. I am not sure why that happens. One of the things that sold us on this lifestyle was the ability to stay healthier by staying more active and getting outdoors more often.

I realize that is a choice but it is a choice that Mike and I would like to commit to. We are trying to eat healthier foods and continue to walk almost every day. The bikes would be just another avenue of outdoor fun and exercise. It is a pricey purchase so we want to be sure of our commitment.

We picked up our little “grand-dog” today and brought him to the motorhome to spend some time with us. He sure is a cutie. He was part of our family for several years before Stephen moved into his apartment and he moved with him. He just adores Stephen and he is right where he needs to be. They love each other! DSC03224

When Stephen got off work he came out to the motorhome for a cookout dinner. We cooked brats over the open fire and had baked beans, salad and chips to go along.

We really enjoyed the evening and the cool breeze once the sun went down. The sky was clear and the stars were shining brightly….you could even pick out Venus. It was quiet and calm….a perfect evening.
