Sometimes we look at sights in nature but don't really see. While hiking in the woods the other day, it became a realization that we need to open our heart and eyes to see the beauty of the simple things in nature with each season. There is so much order and purpose in His creation. God has given us awesome beauty in this world to see and enjoy... if we would but stop to see and feel it. July 5th

Well, the Fourth of July Weekend has come and gone!!!!!!! All in all, we really had a great group of campers this entire weekend. Everybody did their separate activities, the folks at the trading post showed another movie last night and Callaway Gardens had their firework show over the beach and lake. We expected folks to come back hyped up from the fireworks but they weren’t. Folks just settled in for a quiet evening around the campfire or watching tv. It was an incredibly quiet weekend for an almost full campground.

Today Gerri & I cleaned the campsite areas and what fire rings we could and just settled in for a peaceful afternoon. It is nice to have only about a dozen campers after a busy long weekend.DSC_3177 DSC_3170

I’ve included some pics of sites in the more primitive area as we got them ready for the next camper. DSC_3173DSC_3171 DSC_3178 I even took some more pics of the lake area as the sun was climbing up the trees near sunset. DSC_3182 I am still playing with my camera and learning some different modes of taking pics, and it is a work in progress.

Hope all of you had a great Fourth of July weekend ….. Thanks for stopping by!

  7. Love the reflection of the trees in the water! Are the leaves yellow already, or is that the sun shining on the leaves? Beautiful either way!

  9. So glad your Fourth of July duties were pleasant...

We hid out on some private land instead of a busy campground. Avoided the crowds as best we could that way. Easier on our dogs without having fireworks going off all over the park like some places we have been to in the past.
